Anna Fijałkowska

Graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Faculty of Musical Education with specialty in Church Music and from Faculty of Vocal Studies (with honors).

During her studies she joined the National Philharmonic Choir. As a choir soloist, she worked with such conductors as: Antoni Wit, Henryk Wojnarowski, Massimiliano Caldi, Victor Pablo Perez, Łukasz Borowicz and Krzysztof Urbański.

In 2014, she performed an alto solo part in the world premiere of Crying in the Wilderness by Alexander Raskatov (Istanbul, dir. Andres Mustonen).

In June 2012 she debuted as Hippolyta in the student-made performance Midsummer Night’s Dream by Benjamin Britten in the Grand Theatre–National Opera.

In February 2013 she played the part of Zia Principessa in the student body’s rendition of Giacomo Puccini’s Suor Angelica. In March 2014 she performed in the spectacle created in collaboration with the Directing Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw - Scenes from the Coronation of Poppea to the music of Claudio Monteverdi.

For many years she has been working with the early music ensemble La Tempesta.

Since autumn 2016 she has been collaborating with the Trondheim Vocalensamble.

In 2012 she was the finalist of the nationwide 20th and 21st Century Music Competition for Young Performers. She participated in master classes conducted by Doris and Richard Cross, Anita Garanča, Urszula Kryger and Agnieszka Rehlis.
